Hollow Fly

The Hollow Fly was originally developed by Bob Popovics in the USA. By tying sparsely, micro currents swim through and around and through the fly. The Materials respond and the fly instantly comes alive with subtle wiggles and shakes!

To achieve flies that breathe and move with grace when the fly is positioned into the currents, the fly's must maintain a degree of sparseness. The term "hollow" tying, improves sparse flies by adding fullness to the fly in all three dimensions, when done correctly, the individual fibres spring up and out from the shank, as opposed to angling gradually back.

Use in the UK for all species but bass and Pollock will love them. Because they trap air in the fibres fish with an intermediate line just under the surface or deeper down using sinking lines. Now added to this range, with equally good action and catching ability are the Bucktail Deceivers.
